Harvey Stuart is a highly respected general practitioner who has earned the top lawyers' peer review rating (AV) from Martindale-Hubbell. He has decades of experience representing clients in state and federal court. In addition to civil litigation, his practice areas include real estate, business law, estate planning and administration, matrimonial work, and intellectual property.
Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Stuart was a theatrical performer, director, producer and manager. Consequently, he gravitated to entertainment and copyright law, where he has done contract work and litigation in various mass media settings, including music and book publishing. As a real estate lawyer, his experience includes conveying, mortgaging and leasing condominiums, cooperatives, houses and commercial space. He has an active regulatory practice that includes licensing, suspension and revocation hearings, with an emphasis on medical practitioners and health care facilities. In addition, he handles the full panoply of matrimonial/family practice and estate planning and administration matters. Finally, he has handled scores of business organization and administration matters for clients, including incorporations, formation of general and limited partnerships and limited liability companies, negotiation and drafting of shareholders' and partnership agreements and judicial and non-judicial wind-up arrangements.
Mr. Stuart received his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and his law degree cum laude from the New York University School of Law. He was a member of the New York University Law Review and the Order of the Coif.
